Here is a view of the Sauk River from the Old Sauk trail near Darrington. I hiked there a few days ago with my younger brother, on one of the rare dry days recently. At first, I wasn't sure whether I liked this composition well enough to post, but I like it a bit better on revisiting it, even though I'm still on the fence. I wish the tendrils of mist had been in a slightly different position than they were; on the positive side, the composition has a good feeling of depth.
I used a shutter speed of 0.6 seconds to blur the water a bit; I would have liked something slower, but that was the best I could do under the circumstances and working quickly.
Anyway, stay dry, all! And, go forth and vote!
