Waves at Carkeek

Happy 2017, all! The other day, I caught a glimpse of the morning light on the Olympics, inspiring me to head to Carkeek Park at dawn this morning. It was rather breezy, so the wind chill was intense, but it created some interesting waves in the Sound. Below are my best compositions involving these elements. I struggled a bit with shutter speed; I wanted to blur the motion of the waves, but not so much as to make the individual waves indistinguishable. The final shutter speeds below vary, but I settled on intervals between half a second and a second to achieve the desired effect.
